About Reggie Oldak
Reggie will make you proud as your Delegate in Annapolis. She knows the process, the players, and how to get things done!
Reggie has worked throughout her legal career with organizations, activists, and government representatives to facilitate the indispensable work of nonprofits in our community. Before establishing her own law practice in Bethesda, she worked for the IRS, interpreting federal tax legislation and writing regulations.
Reggie is an experienced and energetic community leader. She is President of the Montgomery County Commission for Women and chaired the 2006 Women’s Legislative Briefing for the Commission. She serves on the board of Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington and Montgomery Women and she was a founding board member of the Maryland Legislative Agenda for Women.
Reggie is a proven advocate for reproductive rights. She founded and co-chaired the Maryland Coalition for Emergency Contraception, generating grassroots support for legislation allowing pharmacists to dispense emergency contraception without a prescription in Maryland. This would enable women who can’t see a doctor after rape or contraceptive failure to prevent pregnancy. The Coalition succeeded in uniting health care and reproductive rights organizations and individual supporters around the state – but missed its goal by one vote.
Reggie received her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center and her undergraduate degree from Smith College.
Send Reggie to Annapolis as your Delegate, and she will continue her consistent and forceful leadership!
