Thank you so much for your support as I actively sought appointment to replace retiring Delegate Marilyn Goldwater in District 16.
With your help, I was able to give the Montgomery County Central Committee (MCDCC) a list of supporters that included the Sierra Club (one of three recommended), Montgomery Women (endorsed), 13 current or former elected officials, 12 District 16 precinct officials (including two Area Coordinators), and approximately 350 registered, Democratic District 16 voters. This, combined with the 8,000 votes I received in last year’s election, was a very rewarding show of support.
As you may have read in the newspapers or blogs by now, the MCDCC did not appoint me. They chose Bill Frick to serve out the remaining three years of Marilyn Goldwater’s term.
I have resumed my position as Chief of Staff to Montgomery County Councilmember Roger Berliner, and I look forward to our continued relationship as we all seek the best for our community.
